At Knockabout (the store where I have my studio) we are doing a big store & studios wide 20% off everything event this Saturday. So after you have lugged your family out to the parade, be sure to stop by for some great gift shopping (I am on a mission to get each of my friends to own at least one peculiar pet, so help me out with this mission, and get yours at 20% off on Saturday).
There will be many other fun activities and things to see around City market that day, so be sure to come visit!
And after you have spent all your money at Knockabout, you may want to visit our friends at Epona & Oak too. Word in the street is that they will have fresh chocolate covered coffee beans and cupcakes.

Time for the November Prize post!
What will you be competing for? Your very own pair of peapod earrings.
* The question; I am slowly growing the list of stores and boutiques around the country that carry my products. I would love to approach additional shops and introduce my products to see if it’s something they are interested in, but the trick is finding the types of boutiques that my products fit into. Now I have a fairly good idea of the right types of stores around the area where I live, but I have no idea where to start in other cities. This is where you come in! Small, independent, clothing, accessories, and gift type stores seem to be the best fit, maternity and baby stores will also be great to introduce the peapod lines to.
My question to you is: What store(s) in the area where you live are those types of boutiques? All you need to tell me is the city, state and store name in your comment.
Increase your chances; If you know more than one place, you may make multiple comments with one store each!
I will keep the comments open until Monday November 30th, and after that I will pick a winner by drawing a random number. Thanks, and good luck!

I have been listing some pretty phenomenal clearance goodies in the Etsy shop if I may say so myself. Nobody likes a good deal more than me, so I get excited when I can offer a good deal to others.
There are vintage wallpaper rings, pendants, and earrings that can now be picked up for a steal. I am talking $15 to $20 bucks people!

This ofcourse means that I am busy making fun new vintage wallpaper goodies behind the scenes, which will hopefully be added to the empty looking website soon.

Finished another knitting project from my large project list that will keep me crafty this winter.
I have found I love knitting baby things. Most likely because they are small project, which translates into a significantly low chance of getting bored by the piece, and abandoning it mid-project. Fortunately many of the lovely ladies in my life are obligingly birthing babies left and right, giving me plenty of reason to keep birthing pint size knitted goods.
One of these days I need to step it up and make an adult size project that isn’t a scarf or a hat. Anyone have any pattern suggestions?

The Handmade Market was phenomenal this past weekend. It was the 8th market, and in my experience the least painful one yet. It had surprised me the last few markets how somehow last minute things would still blow up in our faces. These stings would make us scramble and stress, and often keep us from enjoying the results of months worth of efforts and labor, but instead make us all look forward to the day AFTER the market. So to actually still be excited about the market on the very day, and still be motivated to get ready for the next market afterwards, instead of wanting to crawl into a dark hole, was a lovely experience for me. I love my fellow handmaidens, we rocked it ladies!

I know I know, you have been holding breath for this post. Well I am happy to tell you, you can breathe once again. We have two winners from the October Prize Post! Better late than never, right!
And now, the ‘lucky’ winners:
From the Crafters & Designers post:
Commenter #8:
Sarah says:
I’m one of those people that don’t like to gab while I shop so I prefer to just say hi when they make eye contact. I will happily talk if they start something but otherwise I keep quiet
From the Craft Show Shoppers post:
Commenter #16
Lauren says:
I hate when sellers immediately stalk you as soon as you walk up to their booth. I prefer to be left alone until I start to look really interested. Once I show a big interest in something, I would love to hear more information about their craft and the dynamics of the item. If it’s something handmade or made from something special, I want to hear about that!
Congrats ladies! I have just emailed you, so please reply with your addresses and peapod necklace preferences!
Thanks to Random.org for doing the number picking. And stay tuned for the November Prize Post!

I know I have been terribly quiet on this blog here, but that’s not because I have been eating bon-bons and paining my toe nails mind you. It’s only because me and my fellow Handmaidens have been working our tails off to get ready for The Handmade Market! This will be market #8 and it’s shaping up to be the best one yet. Head over to the website for a long list of vendor spotlights, information on how you can donate to the Food Bank on the way in and get a chance at winning one of the incredible raffle prize baskets, directions, etc. The Handmade Market will be tomorrow, Saturday the 7th from 11am until 5pm.
But before all that goodness, don’t forget about First Friday at Knockabout Studios! I will be having all my works up for sale in my studio along with all my other studio mates, and snacks and drinks galore. That’s tonight from 6 until 1opm.
Also, since I am finally writing here again anyways- due to all the busyness I have not yet drawn the winners for the October prize posts (gasp!). But I will, I promise! Look for that post this coming week. Thanks for being patient with me.
