Cary Lazy Daze!

Aug 21st, 2009 Posted in Business Topics | no comment »

Tomorrow you can find me and my wares at Cary’s Lazy Daze.

I will be in booth #C320,  which as far as I can tell from the map will be on the corner of Academy and the entrance to Ashworth Village.

Last I checked there was a 60% chance of rain, so keep your fingers crossed that we get lucky with the 40% of non rain. Though it would be lovely if the rain clouds provide some shade from the heat we’ve been having lately.

Either way, I have already had so much good come out of this show this year (article in N & O!) that even if it poors cats and dogs all day, or ends up being 150 degrees, I’ll be the one with the big goofy grin on my face.

For weather updates, parking, maps, and all kids of other useful information about Lazy Daze, go to their website here.

See you there!

Finally First Friday!

My new studio is on the famous First Friday route, but in the past  I have been unable to physically be there for all the fun and games. Tonight I can finally be there and enjoy it for myself.

August is looking good from here!

Woke up this morning to an awesome article about me and my business in the News and Observer!

World traveler to jewelry maker

I was interviewed for this about two weeks ago, which really just turned into a great hour-and-a-half conversation with writer Diane Daniel in which I laid out practically my whole like story, but it felt like chatting with a new pal. Afterward I thought it had gone really well, but I was curious to see just what and how things would make it into the article, and also how big or small the story would be.
Well, I can tell you that I absolutely couldn’t be more happy and satisfied with how it turned out. At this point I have only seen it online, but I have heard the pictures in the actual paper are big and beautiful. There is not a single bit in the article where I think something I said came across different from what I had intended (which I know from experience can easily happen), I think it all looks and sounds wonderful, and I am so proud of it!

So it’s only the first of August (can you BELIEVE it’s August already!) and it’s already my favorite month this year. Yup, even compared to my birthday month September.
